Akwa Ibom becomes the sixth project state having fulfilled all requirements indicating that the state is fully prepared to implement the Nigeria for Women Project (NFWP). Clearly the sincere commitment and passion to commence implementation as displayed by the state government is highly commendable. The state has as at 22nd May 2022 formed 357 WAGs with a total membership of 8,089 women across the 3 LGA’s namely Ibesikpo Asutan, Onna and Oruk Anam. Akwa Ibom like it counterparts on the project is estimated to enroll 54,000 women beneficiaries across the 3 implementing LGAs of the state.
