Over 10 thousand Women Affinity Groups (WAGs) members in Kebbi state have indicated interest to be enrolled into the Kebbi State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (KECHEMA); a health insurance agency of the state. This strive is coming as a result of the feat the NFWP is recoding in terms of improved livelihoods for women and the states effort to ensure that women access subsidized health care. The women affinity groups are gradually metamorphosing from just a savings group to platforms where supports are being layered to women and health seeking behaviors being advocated. The last couple of days, the state team have concluded arrangements with KECHEMA and have begun a massive sensitization across the implementing LGAs of Argungu, Ngaski and Maiyama to further sensitize the women on the benefits and enrolment processes.
