WAG MEMBERS RECEIVED GRANT IN NIGER STATE.
Niger State Governor His Excellency Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello alongside the Hon. Minister of Women Affairs & Social Development Mrs, Dame Pauline K. Tallen has today the 28th day of February 2022 flagged off the grant disbursement to beneficiaries in the state. H.E Abubakar Sani Bello said he was extremely delighted to be informed that Niger State is taking the lead on WAG formation and other components of the project. This disbursement today is a proof that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is keen about women development and for this we must extend our gratitude and appreciation His Excellency stated. The Hon. Minister of Women Affairs Mrs. Dame Pauline K. Tallen in her speech highlighted that the NFWP aims to help overcome the main institutional and market failures limiting women’s socioeconomic outcomes and access to markets. She further said the project has trained, empowered and connected women to enhance livelihood opportunities through WAG and access to bigger markets. Mrs. Pauline called on women to appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari for making the NFWP come to reality.
